Can Redeemly be used with Shopify POS?
Yes! Redeemly works out of the box with Shopify POS. You can both reward and redeem store credit in physical retail environments—provided your POS system is set up correctly.
How do customers redeem store credit in-store using Shopify POS?
To enable store credit redemption:
- Open the Shopify POS app.
- Go to Settings → Payments.
- Toggle on the Store Credit option.
Once this is enabled, store credit will appear as a payment method during checkout for eligible customers.
How do I ensure customers earn store credit when they buy in-store?
Before the sale is completed:
- Add the customer to the cart in Shopify POS (ensure you input at least name and email address).
- Complete the sale.
If you’ve set up an offer in Redeemly (e.g., “Earn 5% back”), the customer will automatically receive their credit based on the transaction.
Can customers be added after the purchase to earn credits?
No. Customers must be added before completing the transaction for Redeemly to reward store credit. Shopify POS does allow attaching a customer to an order afterward, but this will not trigger Redeemly’s reward logic.
Do credits issued in-store work online too?
Yes! Redeemly credits are part of Shopify’s native store credit system, meaning customers can redeem them both online and in-store as long as the POS and online store share the same Shopify account.
Are there limitations to using store credits on POS?
Currently, Redeemly follows Shopify's official capabilities. Ensure your POS app and customer account system are up to date. Note that some older setups or missing customer information can prevent credit redemption.
