Best Practices for Redeemly Store Credits

**This is a list of options we recommend to get the absolute best results out of Redeemly. **

It’s important to test different settings on your store until you find the perfect balance for your loyalty system. A few small tweaks can make a big difference in customer engagement and repeat purchases.

**Set reward value big enough so a customer feels a real loss if they don’t use it. **

The more valuable the credit, the stronger the psychological pull to return and redeem it.

Also a credit doesn't effect margins the same way a discount does and therefore allows you to reward a higher amount.

**Use a 15 - 30 day credit expiry to create urgency. **

The shorter the expiry the higher the likelihood someone will use the credits. This is to be tested case by case depending on your customer lifecycle.

In general the shorter the better.

**Set holding period to 0 for instant credit issuance. **

Immediate gratification boosts engagement and makes customers more likely to return. If a customer has to wait too long to receive a credit they are likely to forget about it.

Use Redeemly email notifications instead of third-party apps (Klaviyo)

Redeemly’s built-in system has higher engagement rates, ensuring customers know they have store credits to use. We have tested this extensively with 3rd party email apps. Redeemly notifications have always had a better result. It's also still good practise to add credit amounts to the header of all emails with customer.

**Turn on the Launcher to let customers easily check their store credit balance. **

This constant visibility increases redemption rates. It also communicates how to redeem credits at Shopify checkout.

**Enable product page widgets to show how much store credit customers can earn. **

Seeing potential rewards directly on product pages encourages higher order values, increases perceived value of that purchase and seeds the idea that the customer will be shopping again in the future with credit.

Test and adjust these settings to find the perfect balance for your store. Every business is different, so optimizing based on customer behavior is key.
